How to Format Your Employee Roster for the Compliance VP System

Correct formatting of this document will speed the addition of students to the platform.

You may upload a spreadsheet containing your user information into the system under Folder 14-TrainingThe columns in the spreadsheet should be:

Email | Password | First Name | Last Name | Status | Groups | Custom Criteria

  1. Email (required)

  2. Password (required) (If left blank, "password" will be used as the default password, and the user will be prompted to change their password at first login)

  3. First Name (required)

  4. Last Name (required)

  5. Status (optional) - "a" for active, "i" for inactive

  6. Groups (optional) - A comma separated list of groups that the user belongs to. A group that is not found will be created.

  7. Managed Groups (optional) - A comma separated list of groups that the user is a Manager of. A group that is not found will be created.

  8. Custom Criteria (optional) - Additional columns may be added after the group column for the custom user criteria that you have created. One column per criteria, in order by sequence.

The image below illustrates a speadsheet that is properly formatted to import 2 users, adding them to two groups each, and adding data for the first two custom user criteria fields in the organization.

The process for doing this is:

  1. Format your spreadsheet properly as described above.

  2. Save the Excel file as a Text (Tab Delimited) .txt file. For more information, click here.

  3. Click Browse below and navigate to the file.

  4. Click Upload File.
