You can conduct your own reviews using the Self-Audit Review Checklist provided in your 1-70 AML Plan, however, regulators frequently question the qualifications of the self-examiner, and whether it is really independent. We normally use this as a "look-back" review (e.g., this existed as of xx-xx-xxxx), because even faulty compliance is better than none.
